Importing Leads

I've been trying to import leads for the past 2 days. The file I'm importing is an XLS file, 250 records, with two fields (first name, & email). The system says it is importing records, however, nothing happens, and eventually I'm logged out.

I've also tried converting the XLS to CSV...but same thing happens.
