Importing multiple contacts into products

Hi ZohoCRMers,

I'm hoping you can advise me on a bit of a challenge we have.

We produce events. We'd like each Contact to contain a record of which event(s) each individual has attended. It seems there are two ways to accomplish this:

1) create a series of custom Contact fields to contain this data, create a single Contact file that we can import to update all these custom fields with True/False

2) create a series of Products to represent each event and assign the appropriate products to each Contact.

I'm trying to understand how to do #2. We have contact/email lists of everyone who has attended each one of our events, but I don't know how to structure the .csv file so that when I import or use the Migration capability, it will update the Product records with each appropriate contact.

Can anyone advise me on this?
