importing price books

I am looking for a method to import a price book with contents. Your present import routine will only let me inport multiple empty price books. Seeing that it only takes 3 fields to create an empty price book, this is not a very useful tool. What would be useful would be a tool to import prices into an existing book. I have a number of books with over 200 prices in each. It takes an awful lot of typing and saving to update them.

I realize there would be considerable error-checking necessary to ensure that the products and unit prices were already stored in the product table but once that was made clear to a user, a CSV file with a matching product name and a list price is all that would be necessary.

Am I the only user to find this a difficult/time-consuming task?
