Improved Notes / Collaboration / Notification System


We are currently trialling Zoho and are quite impressed with how feature rich it is. We're not entirely sure about the user interface design in a lot of places and would like to see some improvements if possible but we think we may be committing to a subscription soon regardless.

We use Teamwork.com for our Project Management which is very, very slick and intuitive and we think that you should take a look at how slick some of the features are on this platform for some inspiration.

We are slightly frustrated that Zoho is missing some very neat features which we have become accustomed to and now depend so heavily on within teamwork.

The most frustrating of these is the way in which it is not possible for multiple users to 'subscribe' to an account, lead or potential or even be notified when a note or event is added by one person and then emailed to others to be notified.

Below is a screen shot from teamwork. When adding a comment to a task, it is possible to notify all users related to the task or just individual users. It is also possible to set privacy if you only want a certain user or group of users to see the comment.

Please, please, please consider implementing this as part of Notes within your CRM, it would be a much loved and useful feature and would save a lot of time and energy that is required for people to keep going back in to accounts to view updates on the system and would rather simply get notified.

I appreciate that someone will probably suggest using workflows as a workaround but this solution lacks any elegance or sophistication. It is crude and clunky.
