I'd expect it to include the current day.  For example, I would expect "In the last 2 days" to include today.  But it doesn't.

I did a support chat a while back on this issue and got the "working as intended" answer.  Since another of my users just complained about it, I thought I'd bring it up again - this time publicly - in hopes of gathering support.

I can't imagine a scenario where I would want "in the last 2 days" or "in the last week" to not include the current day.
