Individual contacts without "company" = no accounts?

Individual contacts without "company" = no accounts?

Hello,

I'm new to ZOHO CRM and from what I learned, the "Accounts" in ZOHO are meant to be created for "companies". That way, multiple contacts within the company can be associated with the account, and yet each contact can maintain their own profile in "contacts".

This seems to work very well for my business clients. But m y question is, what if a large amount of my customers are actually "loners". In other words, I do not have their company information, and realistically , which company/organization they belong to is irrelevant to me. They're simply individual customers of mine, and I deal with them on a strict individual basis.

So does that mean these customers will not have "accounts"? I noticed that when I convert a "lead", if the lead has no company info, an account will not be created.   But without "accounts", will other features, important ones to me being Quotes and Invoices, be affected? (For example, I noticed that by default "quote" has "account" as a required field, but I can manually change that).

This situation is a bit confusing to me. From my perspective, I think there should be both "individual" and "company" accounts, just like most businesses do, (such as banks and retailers), and I would like every single customer of mine to have an account, whether they belong to a company or not. But how should I implement this in ZOHO?

Your advice will be appreciated.
