Individual Mails to contacts that are added to an event

Hi,

would be great help to have the following option:

add contacts to an event as a "participant" without sending an email to them automatically.
Then having the oportunity to send an email to them with out our the email templates to send relevant information to the participants at a (maybe also scheduled) point of time.

At the moment participants of an event can only be "invited" when you add them to the event, but no kind of "customized" email notification is possible... That would be a big help for us. Best was, if also could be selected, which information of the contacts (that are added to an event) are shown in the event itself (p.e. email adress or phone number etc)...

Any posibilities?
