I have an app to manage the logistic operation of a trucking company, the cargo is Automobiles and i have all my forms and reports to do it, from Customer new orders all the way to vehicle assignment to a specific truck, heres where i ran out of ideas.

right now im  using a report of unassigned cars im able to do multiple select of record and modify the record specific field for transporter and date of assignment.

Lets say i have 25 available cars in northern CA and im sending out a 10 car hauler to get a load of 10 vehicles from that area, what i do right now i run a report with a filter by area and all cars that have a null transporter field are shown, multiple select the 10 units i want, and hit the edit button on top asking to modify the transporter field for all the records selected that its a lookup to a transporter form, thats how im currently doing it.

I know that i can open one by one the records for each vehicle on edit mode and manually select the transporter from the lookup field transporter

   is there any other way to do this trhough a form or an action button in a report that once selected the cars i want to assign to that specific truck will allow me to select the transporter directly without doing a bulk edit like im using right now.
