It's that day of the week and we are back with a hack.
I'm going to share an interesting yet useful hack that lands a lead as a link in the email template, something that comes handy in your day to day business.
What problem does this hack solve?
As a lead owner, you get notified when a lead is assigned to you. This hack adds more value to the notification email by inserting a hyperlink to help navigate to the newly assigned lead in CRM.This enables instant follow-up and saves the pain of manually finding your way to the leads just assigned...
A simple hack in your CRM to get a lead linked in your notification email:
1. Go to Setup->Customization->Templates->Create a template for Leads module.
2. Copy any Lead's URL->Paste it in this template.
3.Remove the series of numbers at the end of the URL-->Type #
4. Select Leads module from the drop-down->Choose Lead ID->Add the Lead ID merge field in the place of the series of numbers.
Example- https://crm.zoho.com/crm/EntityInfo.do?module=Leads&id=${Leads.Lead Id}
5. Save the template.
Don't stop there! Make it even more intuitive; hyperlink the lead's URL to the text, say, "Click here", and view the lead to make your email look better :)
Associate this email template to the workflow you create.
Do the same for all the modules. To do this, type the module's name and select the "Module ID" merge field and add it in the place of the series of numbers at the last like seen in the screenshot.
