I just got introduced with Zoho just couple of months ago, and I've already planned to contribute to it, even though it's not an open-source software. Still I have found it's potential to beat the tech giants and still being respective towards data privacy and security. However, as a
Garuda Linux (Arch-based distro) user of the Gnome version and also loving the gnome-way, I found that time has come that Zoho Apps start supporting every Linux distro atleast those which run gnome as till date the Linux Giant (You believe or not still everyone starting linux uses it) Ubuntu uses the Gnome Desktop Environment. Well, to be honest I'm not till date that much pro in coding specially in app making. So, I wish to the Linux Community to come forth and also the company to provide the necessary help towards to the Linux Community, so that we can make the Zoho Suite the best one available for linux. Also it'll help us to be more cross-platformed. Some of my ideas are:
1. Adding the Zoho Account to the gnome-online-accounts(Although it's fairly used by KDE, Elemenatary OS).
2. Integrating Zoho Mail using the Online Account option.
3. Adding Zoho Docs storage as a storage device in Nautilus (just like gdrive and windows share)
4. Adding more formats support in the writer, Slide Decks, Spreadsheets etc and also integrating these apps well in linux.
(I will prefer to GTK4 for the rebuild of these apps in linux.)
5. Making Notes, Password management app well integrated.
6. If necessary make native appindicators instead of relying on the os, specially in Gnome, as it's already ended & just striving through some extensions.
That's all my point. Now let's see what other's add/drop.
