Intelligent Mail Merge

Hi

We want to send out a hard copy mail merge from contacts or leads.

How do we make sure we do not send the same mailout more than once to the same contact?

I am trying to find away of quickly mail merging the last weeks contacts but I cannot find away, any ideas any one?
