Interface Comparison with Google Docs

Interface Comparison with Google Docs

I have been using ZohoWriter for a while now, and I have been watching similar services (like Google Docs).

Initially, I used ZohoWriter because its interface was *way* better than that of Google Docs, but now, I think, development on the interface (only the visual design, not the function) has stagnated, while Google has developed a new, shiny interface.

I like ZohoWriter (for its superior functionality) and I want to keep using it; please do something about the the interface.

I have both the applications open right now & I can list some things that Google has done better
- The default interface where the document list is displayed on the left is invading the writing space.
- There are multiple rows of menus which are not cleanly separated
- Handling all the documents in one page is convenient, but is there a way to open a document on a separate page?
- the margins are annoying and clutter my page
- the rounded corner buttons (although cool) are distracting
- Related tasks should be grouped into sliding menus .. a little like Google Docs' File menu (although not exactly)

I want to help you guys, not discourage you. :)
If you want more feedback or if you are not sure about what I am talking about, I'll clarify.
