Internal Email, External Servers
Okay, so first off...great job! This is a fantastic piece of code here, has many features that I haven't seen elsewhere. And the client interfact is very slick too...keep up the good work!
Now on to my questions:
1. We have an external mail host, and currently we are using Outlook to interface with it. Because of that, whenever one employee sends an email to another email, it first goes from our site to the external servers, and then back down to our site. This is a big problem, as we like to use email to distribute certain documents. Is ZoHo smart enough to know not to route email out of the network if it's going to a local user? I know it has a very capable document management feature, but some users are too...umm...stupid to figure that out. Any ideas?
2. I see there is a way to change the name of the items in the sidebar, but can I remove them? I don't see an interface for it, but I assume there should be some config file I could manually edit...right?
3. I should be able to allow access to ZoHo from outside our network right? As I understand it, all I would have to do is open the port (8080 by default) to the outside world and then tell my users to go to the external IP. Are there any other gotchas that I need to be aware of?
Thanx in advance! I am currently testing to see if this meets all our needs, which I think it will with flying colors.
And as a suggestion...any idea of an easier way to upload/download documents? Maybe some kinda utility that could be installed on a machine that would give a more windows-like approach? Just a thought...good luck!
