Hello everyone,
Understanding how your applications are being used is the first step to making them better. While the existing Metrics feature in Zoho Creator gives you a solid high-level picture with KPIs like active users, total interactions, access frequency, and much more, it often leaves a critical question unanswered: Which parts of your application are driving that usage, and which are holding it back?
We're excited to announce Advanced Metrics—the next evolution of application monitoring in Zoho Creator.
The challenge admins face today
Imagine running a high-volume procurement application. Basic metrics tells you the app is heavily used. But cycle times are climbing and requests are piling up. You can't tell if it's a process problem, a people problem, or a design problem, simply because you can't see inside.
Which forms and reports are your users actually engaging with?
Where in your workflow do users slow down or drop off?
Who are your power users, and who might need additional training?
Are critical features getting the attention they deserve?
These are the questions that Advanced Metrics is built to answer.
What's new?
Advanced Metrics builds on top of the existing Metrics feature by correlating overall usage data with feature-level behavior within your applications. This enables admins to analyze individual forms, reports, and pages and not just the application as a whole.
It comes with seven focused analytics tabs, each offering a different lens on how your application is being used:
Home: View a high-level summary of usage KPIs, including total hits, features used, attendance, and active users.
Activity: View a detailed breakdown of interactions per feature, with filters to search by user or by feature.
Trends: Track how feature usage changes over time. Switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views.
Funnel: Map user journeys across sequential actions and pinpoint exactly where drop-offs occur in key workflows.
Popularity: See which forms, reports, pages, and blueprints have the widest reach across your user base.
Frequency: Group users by how often they interact, from occasional visitors to daily power users.
User Analytics: Dive in to individual user behavior, including attendance, session time, session count, and last seen.

The analysis reveals a sharp drop-off at the vendor selection stage. The Frequency tab further shows that only a small group of finance users regularly interact with the purchase order module, which creates a bottleneck during peak periods. With this insight, the admin can take targeted action: Simplify the form, distribute access more broadly, or introduce automation to reduce manual effort.
How to get started
Navigate to Metrics under the MANAGE section in your Creator account. If Metrics is already enabled, you will land directly on the dashboard.
Click the Advanced Metrics button in the top right corner of the dashboard.
Select the application for which you want to enable Advanced Metrics.
Review and agree to the terms, then click Enable Advanced Metrics.
Note: Both Metrics and Advanced Metrics remain available side by side. You can toggle between them at any time within the Metrics section.
