The essence of any CRM is in how it enables you to manage and interact with your customer data. Accordingly, we've extended the capabilities of our custom design studio within Zoho CRM to include support for custom record forms. Enjoy greater control over how users create records in any Zoho CRM module; transition from the standard two-column record entry page to a personalized layout that's tailored to your business requirements—and incorporate your company's branding elements, as well.
Why build a Canvas record form?
Until now, the creation of records was limited to a standard view with limited customization capabilities, which meant that you couldn't tailor the look and feel of your record forms to match your business's unique processes or requirements, as well as branding. Canvas's support for record forms changes all that by enabling you to customize fields and sections of your form and ensure that every interaction with your CRM is as intuitive and efficient as possible.

Customizable record forms
Easily modify and design the layout of your record forms to streamline data entry, highlight key information, and create a visually engaging interface that reflects your brand. Customize layouts, field alignments, color schemes, and font styles to ensure each form represents your business's identity effectively.
We've added a new tab called Form View that enables you to customize and access form views. In this tab, you can see a list of all the form views created for various modules, as well as create form views, import canvas templates, create Canvas assignments, manage canvas rules, and handle Canvas keys.
Elements of the Canvas record form builder
The Form View of the Canvas builder comes with all the essential Canvas elements:
- Data: Consists of the module's essential information, such as the contact's name, email address, assigned record owner, and other relevant details.
- Elements: Consist of various tools like images, lines, tables, sections, text boxes, buttons, and icons.
- Styles: Provide a range of formatting choices to enhance the visual attractiveness of your data, including modifying colors, font styles, sizes, borders, padding, and corner radii to match your branding or design preferences.
There are additional options like the all-new field state editor, as well.
With the support for record forms in Canvas, we've also expanded Canvas's capabilities to meet the need for emphasizing fields to improve visibility for your sales reps. This additional level of customization now enables you to highlight fields based on different states, such as the default style, mandatory fields, data errors based on validation rules, or when a field is disabled for editing.
