Dear All,
Greetings!
Following our
latest update about multiple sandbox environment, we are glad to present to you, two new enhancements -
Common deployment logs and
a UI change in the edit sandbox settings.
Sandbox is a testing environment that simulates the production account. You can test various business cases and deploy them to production without hampering the original CRM configurations. These deployed instances are captured in the deployment logs, that display details like the date of deployment, name of deployed changes, and users who deployed, in a chronological order.
Common Deployment Logs
Until now, the deployment logs for each sandbox were located within the respective sandbox environments. It poses difficulty in switching between each of them to monitor the deployment logs.
To address this, we are now displaying deployment logs, cumulatively under a single tab. After this update, you will be able to view logs of all deployed sandboxes in one place, under the deployment logs tab.
Furthermore, you can view the logs of a particular sandbox environment by filtering the deployment logs using the sandbox name.
Who can access the deployment logs?
Users with Manage sandbox permission can view deployment logs of all sandbox environments. Users who have permission to access a particular sandbox environment, will be able to view the logs for that sandbox only.
UI enhancement in the edit sandbox settings
A sandbox can be edited only when the rebuild option is available. Until then, fields like sandbox type and data to be populated will be locked from any edits without any information as to why it cannot be edited.
In this update,
- The fields - Sandbox type and Data to be populated, will not be greyed-out and will display the available options within each fields.
- The save button is now changed to Save and Rebuild which will be disabled until the next rebuild is available. This button will also display a tool tip, as to why the edits cannot be saved.
That's about the update. This update has been released for all users.
