Introducing Connectors for the Show Android app

Introducing Connectors for the Show Android app

Hi All!

We at Zoho Show are pleased to announce Connectors are now available in the Show Android App. Connectors are lines that link two shapes using the shortest route in a slide. The ends of the line detect and neatly attach to objects to help you form connections and draw complex work flows in presentations.

Using Connectors, you can draw flows for any scenario, including business, engineering, medicine, and software development. All you need to do is simply drag the ends of the line towards the the intended objects to form quick links.

You can also rotate and move objects in these diagrams any time. The Connectors attached to them will remain intact while you move the shapes around. This way, you can rearrange your slide structure without worrying about distortion.

In case you want to reorganize and link objects in a different way to prevent Connectors from overlapping, you can also manually reroute your Connectors. Simply disconnect the line from the shape, then delete or change the orientation of the object. Link the Connector again to a different shape or another anchoring point on the same object.

The Connectors function is already available on the Show web application, and we are now extending its availability in mobile apps to make it easier for you to create flows from your mobile device.

To use this feature, insert shapes into your slides and link them using lines from the Shapes and Scribble section. You can also access them using the Connector button in the top-right corner.

Show offers three forms of Connectors—straight, curved, and angled (elbow)—to help you draw different diagrams. For instance, you may require straight lines for data models or bent lines for organizational graphs and medical process flows.

Straight lines require no manipulation except for adjusting their length. Elbow and curved Connectors include Edit Points to help youchange curvature, position, and alignment.

Modifiers are yellow diamond points using which you can pull, bend or stretch Connectors. Manually adjust Edit points to change the length or shape of the lines. You don't have to press any keys to alter these icons.

Additionally, you can also refine your Connectors using the Format panel. Use the End Points and Stroke option to give your Connector a new look, or even include a Shadow effect to make it stand out more.

Update your Show Android app today to try out this new feature in your process flows.

Visual presentations are highly impactful and it is a no-brainer that your audience gets attracted to them. The use of images and videos help you reach your objectives by emphasizing your ideas more effectively.  According to the psychologist Jerome Bruner of New York University, "people only remember 10% of what they hear and 20% of what they read, but about 80% of what they see and do." For example, if the above data on its own, was presented visually, there is an 80% chance that the information
