Introducing Job Alerts | Zoho Recruit



Keeping candidates engaged beyond their first application is one of the most consistent hiring challenges. Many interested candidates simply do not revisit career sites regularly, which can result in missed opportunities and reduced re-applications.

To address this, Job Alerts were built  as a separate tab for the Candidate Portal. This allows candidates to subscribe to job notifications based on their preferences and automatically receive relevant openings via email when new jobs are published to your Career Site.

What’s New

Candidates can now create personalized job alerts directly from the Candidate Portal. They can:
  1. Have up to three alerts active simultaneously
  2. Define up to five criteria such as department, job title, location, employment type, or other job attributes
  3. Choose a delivery frequency of weekly or monthly
  4. Receive automated email notifications when newly published jobs match their criteria
Once configured, alerts run automatically in the background without requiring manual effort from recruiters.

Why Job Alerts

Job Alerts help extend candidate engagement beyond the initial application stage.

Instead of relying on candidates to revisit your career page or manually informing past applicants about new openings, the system proactively notifies them when relevant opportunities become available.

How This Works IRL

Consider a candidate who applies for a Marketer role but is not selected.

They remain interested in your organization but may not actively monitor your career page. With Job Alerts enabled, the candidate can create an alert based on Marketing roles in a specific location.

When a new position is published that matches their criteria, they receive an automated notification based on their selected frequency.



This ensures relevant opportunities reach interested candidates without requiring recruiter intervention, improving re-engagement and application rates.
