With the rising need for integrations to connect multiple tools in businesses, APIs need to be adaptive, reliable, consistent, and ready for dynamic operations.
To support better performance, efficiency, and enhancements such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), we are glad to introduce the new Fields API.
New Fields API
The new API for fields is
for GET, CREATE, UPDATE, and DELETE operations.
This API is designed for better performance and will serve as the primary endpoint for future enhancements related to field operations. If you're building integrations or AI-powered workflows with Zoho Desk, we recommend using the new API endpoint to take advantage of upcoming improvements and ensure compatibility with future releases.
Existing fields API
As part of this update, /api/v1/organizationFields API will continue to function, but no further enhancements or updates will be added to this API. The current API will continue to function, with no discontinuation planned for the next 12 months. Once we finalize a timeline, we'll notify you to ensure a smooth transition.
This change will not affect your existing integrations or operations. However, if you are building new integrations or customizing organization fields, we recommend using the new /api/v1/fields endpoint to ensure compatibility with future enhancements and MCP support.
