Invalid entries found. Please correct and submit again

Invalid entries found. Please correct and submit again

I am receiving this message when I try to update a record from a Summary view:
"Invalid entries found.  Please correct and submit again"

  The following error message appears in red at the bottom:

[t_294375000000011009_PIDX] Exception occured while inserting rows
Failed to update data.

This occurs when using "Summary Form".   I have had some success updating a text field on its own, but the problem occurs when I try to update multiple fields (have not thoroughly gone through all of the possible combinations/options)
