Is Google Calendar Sync Working?

Is Google Calendar Sync Working?

I entered a Zoho calendar item at 7:xx AM MDT. It's now 1:18 PM AM MDT and the item still hasn't shown up in Google (nor have some other items). I thought syncing had lost connection or whatever so I disabled it and restarted it. (I hope I haven't broken anything).

Then I was reading online that the sync frequency is every 6 hours. Is that correct? If so, that's horrible. If I enter a calendar item for late this afternoon it won't show up until after the event is past. What's going on here? How do I fix this so it works reliably? I really, really, really don't have time for tools that don't work.
