Is it possible for individuals of a shared calendar to edit that calendar?

Is it possible for individuals of a shared calendar to edit that calendar?

I shared a calendar with a group of people, thinking that they would be able to add events onto that calendar. I gave them all the 'Delegate/Manage' permission, but they still can't add anything. Any reason why this is so?
