Is it possible to link an email sent by gmail to a contact automatically?

Is it possible to link an email sent by gmail to a contact automatically?

I would like to know if it is possible to track some how the emails that you send to clients from another email system rather than Zoho.
In some other CRM you send a COO to a certain email so the CRM knows and tracks this emails assigning them to a client.

Is this possible with Zoho?
