Is possible send an auto-response email to proper email id when I create a new lead via API.

In the option Web to Lead, in Website Integration, you can select an Email Template and to send an auto-response email to the prospect whenever end user submits the form with proper email id.
 
 
Is this possible when I create a new lead via api with  insertRecords?
