is there an attachment limit?

as an attorney in juvenile court, occasionally large reports (60 + pages) get sent to me. I have been told that they are 'bouncing back' to the sender. Is there an absolute limits to attachment sizes?

I guess I could use my google email account if there is no possible fix for the attachments.
