When I left my desk yesterday I excitedly thought I had fixed my problem, by making use of the "Inactive" field ...
However after contacting the support chat, they have advised to stop emails being sent I need to update the "Email Opt Out" field - which of course I know ....
However I am wanting to use this magical button for its not always for others - not just those that have opted out ..... sometimes, they might have gone through a sequence but haven't interacted, so I want to stop all emails being sent, until they take action.
Or for those that have said they are not interested right now, maybe in a few months ... the last thing I want to do is piss them off by them accidentally receiving an email ...
Essentially I want two of the "opt out buttons" one which depicts that the other person said they no longer wanted emails, and another button which shows that I have chosen not to send emails (for the time being)
Am I just overthinking it?
I know that I can create Views and exclude records based on criteria etc, however, the problem mostly arises when creating mass emails and the exclusion is forgotten from the criteria.
Preferably I would like a field that stopped emails being sent unless marked - ie that they have 'opted in' ... which I believe is the legally correct and compliant ...
Thanks in advance
