is there customer portal function?

HI! I would like to know if there is customer portal functionality in Zoho CRM.
Sorry that I am a new user and is to eager to find out the answer.

Further more, I would like to know if there is any API/integration solution to integrate ZoHo CRM with other application like discussion forum.

The idea is that 3rd solution will refer back to Zoho CRM for customer login verification to ensure that such user is valid.
