Is upgrading to version 3.0 safe?
Trying out the new version, everything I could do on Version 2.0 works OK on 3.0. But what do I do with the documents that I have on 2.0, for example the document with
this as its NOBAND version? In the Version 2.0 editor, it looked just like the public version except that comment icons were displayed. When I now try to open it, however, I am presented with a seriously distorted document, shown in the attachment to this post with the threat: "
This is how your document will look like in the new editor" and I am given no opportunity to open it in 2.0. Note in particular that indentations in the attachment bear only a rough correspondence to what the public version shows, which is the way they appeared in the 2.0 editor. Other documents contain many superscripts; they appeared in a reduced-size font in the 2.0 editor and in the public versions and they also look that way when I enter them in a new 3.0 document, but they are unreduced in the "This is how your document will look" version. If I do convert the documents now, will I then have to undertake the tedious effort of editing them back to where they were? If a wait a few weeks, will you be offering a proper conversion facility?
