Is Zoho free or not???

One of my clients recommended Zoho to me days ago. I tried it and kind of like it. But the problem is that both trial versions I tried cannot be upgraded to the free version. I tried Zoho business and Zoho CRM. They both keep telling me that I am using a trial version and should upgrade it, but when I try to upgrade it, it won't work. Is Zoho real or just some kind of joke? I appreciate what you guys have put in to make this website and to make Zoho what it is. But if the work you have done is not reliable, how can you keep your company going? If you want people to pay for Zoho, just say so. I'm willing to pay for this. If you do want us to pay, why say that this is free?
Hope I can hear from you soon, or I will leave Zoho and tell my friends who recommended this for me that this is just a joke.
