Hi everyone!
This is my first time working with a CRM.
I was given the task to research into finding a great CRM, but at the moment, I'm not too sure where to actually start.
Let me fill in some information, and hopefully someone might be able to answer :)
The company I work for has a database of roughly 50,000 customers over the last few years.
We would like to either keep in touch with recent customers by giving them either a thank you letter or a friendly phone call. We would also like to get ahold of past customers and see if they'd like to purchase from us again.
The company sells a toner refill kit, which is not directly on people's mind right away when it comes time to buy toner. Either people are too intimidated by it or they end up just buying it from office super stores.
Part of the goal for the CRM would be to contact these people, see if they are still interested, and possibly make a sale.
The only problem is that, since I have just started learning CRM's, I'm not sure where to start.
I think, ideally, the process would go something like this:
1. Start the day by brining up 100 leads (either new or old)
2. Give a call to the person and follow up with a thank you email.
3. Set a date to contact this person again and repeat step 2. (We've noticed that many customers might only order toner every couple months, in which they forget our website, and end up searching for toner again, and landing on a different site)
4. Repeat the previous steps the next day.
The only problem is that there are so many in the database.
This would be completed as apart of a campaign correct?
My understanding is that I'd import our list of customers.
Create a campaign.
But how would I choose the 100 people? Would it be random? Or alphabetical? Would I sort by date?
Thank you if you read this. Please let me know what you think :)
