Issues sending mail with iPhone

hi,
 
i know that this has been another topic, but i haven't seen customer-side resolutions.
 
i have configured my email on my iphone5 and can receive mail but cannot send.
my account is set up using the imap server and two factor authentication.
 
my outgoing server settings are:
host: smtp.zoho.com
user name: [mine]
password: [tfa]
use ssl: on
authentificaton: Password
server port: 465
 
when i press done, it goes through its process and verifies everything. but it still won't send an email.
 
any thoughts about where i've gone off?
is there a way to send a trace through the iphone to see where it's hung up?
