I've been dealing with persistent incoming mail fetch problems in Zoho Mail and wanted to post here in case others are experiencing the same, and to get some visibility from the Zoho team. As proof that this is Zoho specific issues, I setup up same imap accounts on outlook and fetching is working normally.
**Background**
I use Zoho Mail to aggregate email from multiple external mailboxes hosted on SiteGround. The accounts and credentials have not changed.
**IMAP fetch — unreliable**
After a connection timeout issue was resolved, IMAP fetch appeared to reconnect — but message retrieval is still badly broken. This pattern is consistent across multiple accounts: some show multi-hour gaps between fetches, others appear to have stopped fetching entirely.
**POP3 fetch — not honoring the polling interval**
As a workaround I switched the affected accounts to POP3. It fetches, but not reliably on schedule. My setting is every 3 minutes. Behavior is erratic: sometimes it polls automatically, sometimes I have to click into the inbox to trigger a fetch, sometimes it just doesn't pull at all. No consistent pattern.
POP3 is a temporary workaround only — I need IMAP fetch to work reliably long-term.
I need assistance in resolving. Email exchanges with Zoho support have yielded no resolution so far.
