Keeping copies of SMTP sent mail in the Sent folder on the server

Please provide an option to prevent the server from placing copies of all mail sent from an SMTP client into the user's "Sent" folder on the server. While keeping copies of mail sent via SMTP might be the preferred choice of many or even most people, users who don't want this behavior shouldn't have to follow up each SMTP mail dispatch with an IMAP connect or browser logon to their Zoho mail account to delete these copies.  Thanks.
