Latex Export

Latex Export

Hi there,

I've been playing around with writer for months now, and just went back to heavy use again for the first time in a while to type out some notes for a grad school class. I love the GUI-driven LaTeX equation editor -- I have three different TeX editors I'm playing with as I try to learn, and being able to do equations that update in real time is a great tool. Plus, I plan to share this document with others in my class when it's done.

So, thank you. Now here is the bug:

The export from Zoho to a .tex file garbles the equations in a simple way, by dropping the "\" from LaTeX expressions. As a result, equations are compiled by my desktop LaTeX editors as plain text, e.g. if I want the mathematical notation of the partial derivative of f with respect to x, the exported PDF will just have a string reading "fracpartialfpartialx".

When I manually add the backslashes to the equations, everything looks fine, but I'm writing a long document and that won't be practical to do for the whole project. Hopefully this is something easy to fix?

I've tried compiling the exported .tex files in multiple programs with the same result. I'm using Zoho in Firefox 3 on a laptop running Ubuntu 8.10, in case that's relevant.
