LDAP integration?

Is VO able to integrate with our corporate LDAP server?

By integration, I need:
- User Authentication (SSO)
- Contact/Resource Lookup
- Contact Update?

I know we should be able to import entries from an LDAP server, but this is a duplication -> I need integration!

From what I see, VO is so far ahead of the rest - great job, but it's a black hole! Once data gets into the server, it can't get out again. What do I mean?
- the IMAP adapter doesn't work properly, so I have to use POP -> this means users lose the ability to use Outlook
- LDAP is import only -> other applications are not able to use these LDAP entries in VO
