Leads / Notes are not saving

Has there been an update to the notes section within each individual lead? I am trying to make some comments but when I try to save these, the throbber in the browser tab just swirls for a long time. I have not successfully saved any new information for several hours now and this is become very inconvenient. Please can someone look into this?
