Under Settings | Leave Policy | [policy name] | Restrictions, one can set a number of days that an employee can go back to apply leave.
This is very good and very needed.
However, in most organizations, the real deadline isn't X number of days from the date leave was to be taken. Rather, it would be the day before payroll is to be processed for that week.
The ramifications of this are that we can't use a deadline that means something to employees. It doesn't make any sense to them when they're able to apply leave for a Thursday of a given week, but not the Wednesday.
It should be possible to set the deadline as the [next | second | third | fourth] [Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday]
I understand the programming logic of setting the "X number of days" process, but that doesn't match how things actually work in most cases. I think this is a case where the software should bend to the needs of the user rather than vice-versa.
