Hi,

We are currently using Zoho Tasks on CRM as Zoho Desk doesn't let us link tickets to specific site records on Zoho CRM based on a custom module.

It can match to Zoho CRM based on an email address but this is not of use to us in our setup as the email address can be used multiple times across site records in many instances.

Lookup fields in Zoho Desk would be awesome.

As of now tickets will be listed under a custom module based on the contact email address and is not possible to manually associate/link a ticket to a custom module.

I shall table your requirement to our product team to check the feasibility of implementing the same in support.

Any update on this at all?  We would really like a propoer ticketing system integrated into Zoho CRM in place of Zoho Tasks - for both internal and external tickets relating to a number of custom modules - sites, installer, contacts, hardware and the ability to have teams - ie a Tech Team with a ticket queue

For example - we would likethe ability to create tickets against all of the following modules we have
Desk only allows us to create a ticket against a contact so we are forced to use Tasks and create a false user called Tech Team and try and botch a basic ticket system using tasks

In Zoho Desk, having a contact is a mandatory requirement for ticket creation. If you wish to create a ticket in Zoho Desk for a custom module record, you can do so by creating a ticket with the email address associated with the custom module record as the contact in Zoho Desk. Unfortunately, creating a ticket directly from the custom module in Zoho CRM is not currently possible, and there are no immediate plans for its implementation.

Its been more then couple of years for this issue to be updated and fixed for the user. Have you guys done anything to address this?

At the moment, we can't directly create tickets from custom module records aside from customer or contact records. However, you can link the ticket to a contact and use the Standard Lookup field to connect that contact to a custom module record in Zoho CRM as of now.

I'll also keep in touch with my team to speed up the validation process.
