Linking Roles Under a Potential to Outside Accounts/contacts

When adding a contact role to a potential created under "X" account; is it possible to have the potential automatically show up under another account?  Assuming the contact role I am trying to add is from a different account.  If I need to enter a new potential under each Account with a role then it seems to give misguided revenue projections.  If I create six different accounts with six potentials, it seems I would have six times the project revenue.  If they were all linked under the same potential screen and link back to the various accounts it would be a more accurate representation of projected revenue.

Does this make sense?
