Long term events don't populate every day they are happening, and don't show up at all on Zoho CRM apps
I have a dog care business, and we use the events function instead of Google Calendar now as we migrate to Zoho CRM from other tools. We like some features, but are having a major issue. We offer dog sitting, so our schedule includes events that may last days or weeks at a time. These events have a start date and time, and an end date and time.
We are having two issues. One, although the long term events show up in the calendar view inside the CRM online, these events do not populate in the list view when you click on a specific day. In addition, the online version shows these kind of events in the schedule view on the start date and on the end date, but not on the dates in-between. The end date time is listed as the time you set up for the start date time, it does not display the actual end date time. There appears to be no way to fix this issue. This is a serious problem when you're trying to determine deployments and figure out running staffing solutions, and our staff can't use this system because they don't know what or where they are supposed to be and when they are supposed to be there unless they are able to get to a laptop computer (not a tablet, see #2) and click on the full event to open it up and view the full details. This is very annoying and barely usable. Two, these long term (or multiple day, however you want to phrase it) events simply don't populate AT ALL on the app versions of Zoho CRM. That's just plain unacceptable. It's as if these activities do not exist. Any staff using their phones or tablets simply can't view these events AT ALL, ever. never ever do they know where to be or when to be there.
How can this be? If these events were a trade show, conference, seminar, or anything else, it doesn't matter what, I can't see any advantage in having the default be to make an event you go through the trouble of scheduling just not be visible every day it's happening, until it's over. There seems to be no solution to this issue. We've already devote considerable time to importing contacts, calendars, and other data. Only after downloading and installing the apps and trying to begin use of this system have we realized that we may have been blowing tons of resources on a system that is just plain broken, and badly so. Help!
Thanks,
Paul
