lost password

I had a user who lost her password. As the admin I went into settings, admin, password configuration.

I entered the user name and put in my e-mail address to have the password for that user sent to me so that I could help get them logged back into the system.

Nothing happened, I never received the password. I tried it to a number of other e-mail addresses I have and I never recieved the e-mail. The system did say it sent it but I never got it.

I stopped and re-started the server, still nothing.

I ended up have to delete the user account and add it back in again.

Is there a problem with the password configuration option? Or did I do something wrong.

In the future, if a user forgets their password how do I either find it for them or reset their password and give them a new one?

I use VO Server authentication for the system.
