Mail folders not refreshing with Fetch -- WHY?
I'm getting very frustrated w Zoho Mail because of this frequent problem that continues to be unresolved after weeks of comments by users.
The situation:
Zoho Mail is open in a browser window on a laptop. The laptop has been closed, asleep, and then reopened. The browser window still shows Zoho Mail, and it's folder "unread mail" counts show some value. You *know* there must be more new mail, and wonder why the folders don't auto-refresh. So, you click the Fetch button, over and over for a few minutes. No results, even though the message "Fetching mail" flashes. Then you click on the Inbox folder and suddenly it refreshes and you have many new mails.
WHY doesn't the Fetch button do the same, i.e. refresh all the folders? If Zoho Mail has lost connection w/ the mail server because the laptop was asleep, it should be a fairly simple matter for the javascript to recognize the fact that it isn't handshaking w/ the server and do a forced page refresh in those situations.
Equally important, WHY doesn't Zoho Mail auto-refresh all folders within seconds of waking up and realizing it's time for a refresh? Again, a javascript timer would be able to immediately know that it has hand a refresh in a while and should do a force attempt at connecting to the server, and if that fails force a full page refresh.
