Mail folders with virtual list and enhanced navigation

Now a mail folder shows only 50 messages and has a prehistoric navigation bar [<] 1-50 [>].

I suggest:
  1. A virtual list box that can show thousands of entries. When scrolling this list you can show only the value of the sorted column (date...) and the relative pos (nnnn/mmmm). For example: "Jan-2-2011 (1.466 of 9.843)" should appear near the thumb scroll, like a tooltip.
  2. Also we need a better navigation bar (AND IS EASY):
    1. Show total number of messages in the folder:
    2. Show a First and Last buttons for to go to the first and last page
                        [|<][<] 1 - 50 / 9.426 [>][>]

At this moment navigation in a folder with a few thousands emails is sloooowly.
