Mail forwarding not working

I have my mail set to forward to my main account (a gmail account) and all has been working well until yesterday evening. I haven't changed any of the settings, but I'm now receiving Mail Forward Failure messages from the mailer daemon. Unfortunately, technical details of the failure are "null" so I'm unable to determine what the problem might be.

Please help!
