mail migration Can not connect to the server for IMAP and POP protocols

I created this second post as I can not find my initial post in My Area (I see 0 Posts and 0 Reponses).
I always get Can not connect to the server

You need to configure Zoho's recommended  Mx records in your DNS page to receive emails from external domains.
Zoho Mail provides you a range of email migration options (POP or IMAP)  for server to server migration.

Well, do I really need to add MX records to my DNS page in order to migrate mail? 
This help page  https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/pop-imap-migration.html#alink2 tells nothing about any MX records that I need for migration.
