Make More Standards Compliant
I have been trying to decide whether to use Zoho or Google Docs.
Each has some advantages.
Zoho Writer has many extra features but is not standards compliant on the
generated html code. It would be best to follow XHTML strict coding and avoid deprecated elements. This will allow for better export of documents if later used
in web pages. Users will also start thinking more in line with
separating structure (XHTML) and presentation (CSS).
So I have a few suggestions:
1) Don't use <font> elements as very deprecated.
2) Use or <strong> and and <em> elements instead of the
<style> elements when you click on toolbar icon.
3) Is it really necessary to put an zid attribute on every element?
4) Add element level items only to the format menu.
5) Generate clean structured html code and do the formatting using
CSS.
Thank you for listening. Zoho Writer has lots of great potential.
