We are sharing records manually since any of the automation and record sharing options do not work for us, but I have some questions.
When you share the record manually you have some options:
1. Share with related list
2. Shared without related lists
If I share without related list, this would mean that the user still can create related list records, but cannot automatically see related lists records created by other users. Is this correct?
Then you need to choose the record sharing level
1. Full Access
2. Read and Write
3. Read Only
What is the difference between full access and read and write? I tried to find an answer but could not anywhere online.
Final question - does anyone has any experience using the API or any other external tool, where you can share records based on a custom field value?
Just so you know Data Sharing Rules, Roles, Hierarches and Territories do not work for us.
