We have been trialling the use of Zoho Meetings for Webinars. So far, we've run 3 sessions.
Today's webinar was a major embarrassment for the following reasons:
1. Many attendees were unable to get their audio working even if we have given them permission to talk - even if they did get the microphone working after several minutes their audio would be disabled again. This happened to both participants and staff
2. video (screen share) dropped out half-way through the session, then came back about 2-3minutes later
3. moving your mouse over your own 'mute' button resulted in strange behaviour - sometimes muting microphones without being clicked, other times pushing people over to 'dial in by phone' mode, but not actually allowing them to dial in.
4. Zoho service is actively blocked at network level by various government agencies we work with due to 'poor reputation'.
On top of this, there is no way to get the dial-in details for a meeting PRIOR to the meeting starts, so we cannot give our clients an emergency workaround for when these problems occur.
In short, we have decided to drop Zoho Meetings, Bookings (who'd integration is woeful) and Zoho CRM Calendar. This is a huge blow to our implementation plans.
I hope that Zoho can address the quality issues with Meetings. It *could* be a good product, but at the moment it's quality and poor reputation means we cannot work with it.
