Is it possible to track or tag leads for which deals were/or were not created?

I have some leads for which it is important to control whether deals were created or not. They are generated from a specific source. So, it's easy to display a list of them. Deals must be created based on these leads. Thus, I need to exclude from the displayed list of “important” leads those for which deals have already been created.

I could force the user to manually add a lead's link to the created deal (the field "Lead"). But this has a risk of error (“Human error”) and does not solve the issue of filtering the list of leads.
