What is the correct method to mark a task as complete in the CRM APP?

When I touch\click on the small box in the top left corner next to a task the box does not change to indicate it has been ticked off, screen just flickers.  If I check on the task afterwards, the task is marked as complete however as mentioned no indication is given once the box is clicked that it has been marked as complete...
